We spent 2023 hosting events, as well as furthering our teams investigations of the Waikino Hotel. You can read the history on this location and it's alleged hauntings on our Haunted NZ pages.

The Investigations

We have spent a period of 2 years investigating this hotel and it's claims of the paranormal from staff and management, both past and present. During that time we have held multiple team investigations as well as public investigation events and have amassed hundreds of hours of recordings of both audio and visual data. While we have not captured anything visual that could be deemed as possibly paranormal, we have caught several audio anomalies of voices that should not be present. These have definitively been ruled out as originating from any known persons on the premises at the time. Who or where they come from is still up for debate. 

Personal Experiences

There have been numerous investigators who have had several personal experiences whilst investigating this location. Shadows seen, cold spots experienced, sensations of being watched and followed as well as a huge amount of audible voices, whistling and coughing being heard. Again, who or where they come from is still up for debate.
